Molli's Blessing

Schedule of Events:


8-9a.m.: Wake up and get food ready for Easter/Blessing dinner.
10-11:30a.m.: Hometeacher calls and says church is not manditory because of all the snow.
-Martins call wondering if we are still going to church.
-We call Bishop wondering if anyone is going to be at church for us to bless Molli. He said there will be someone there to conduct but gives us permission to bless her at home. We decide to bless her at the church.
-Hammons call to see if we're going to church...they'll try to go if we're still going to bless Molli.
-Campbell's call to see if we are still going to church... they too will be there.
-Campbell's call and say someone called them and said all Hometeachers are to call their people and let them know church is cancelled.
-We try to call Bishop to make sure it's true- no answer.
-Campbell's call and say it was a mistake, church isn't cancelled but still not mandatory.
-Hometeacher calls to see if we are still blessing Molli at the church.
12:00p.m.: Get Molli in her dress. Decide to take a quick picture of her on the rocker just in case.





12:10-1:45p.m.: Leave for church and arrive on time. For once there is noone in the overflow and no fighting to sit on the benches! Love it. It seems like there were 10-15 families there. The quitest sacrament meeting Mayfield Ward has had in years, I'm sure.























-Molli is given a beautiful blessing, yup her name is STILL Molli.
-It's announced that they will be holding all 3 meetings! Kind of bummed (because we didn't eat breakfast or lunch thinking we would just have sacrament meeting and could go straight home and eat) but glad to be able to go to church nevertheless.
3:15p.m. Sitting in Relief Society, Molli decides to throw up EVERYTHING! It went all over her nursing blanket, burp cloth, some on the seat next to me, and of course the bulk of it went on her dress. I had to know that would happen didn't I? Not quite sure what to think.
3:40: Get home, change Molli and get ready for dinner. Force the men from the circle to stand out in the snow WITH Molli for a picture. That's right, Molli's just wearing everyday clothing for this picture. At this point, not even caring.















When it was all said and done, it was a great day. Pictures of Molli in her blessing dress will have to happen in another blog. It was reported that we got somewhere around 24 inches that day. Some places got 37 inches! Either way, we feel like Santa should be coming soon.
